David Guetta is currently one of the most famous music performers -his music is hard to classify since he is a diverse performer -he produces house music and his tones are used as a background and instrumental for pop and hip-hop songs aswell. He has several songs with famous artists and singers and gained significant success in the last 5 or 6 years as he completed a fabulous number of songs and tracks and completed 2 albums that enjoyed the (more…)
Edward Maya is a Romanian DJ and music producer, who recently, after releasing only two independent songs, gained much of the electronic music fans’love. Known for his soft, melodic and amazing clubbing music, for less than 9 months Edward became a performer with incredible fame, visited more than hlaf of the world performing and introduced a complete set of innovations in the electronic music genre such as softening the sound, making distinctive sounds louder with only the voice of the (more…)
Michael Jackson was one of the most well known people in the entire world. He was an amazing man. He began his career early in life as a singer in his family’s group the Jackson 5. By the time he was eight years old he was singing in the front of the group as one of the lead singers. His talent was a force to be reckoned with even then.
As his life went on and the group broke apart (more…)
Back in 1985, the British music world was a bit of a barren wilderness. If you enjoyed House music or sitting around with reed diffusers listening to crappy synthetic Pop then you wouldn’t have a problem; however, if Alternative Rock was your bag then you were seriously limited for choice. So when The Cult released, ‘Love’ it really was happy days.
Looking back on this album, it was all a little cheesy. Ian Astbury was a natural born poser and (more…)
For years (almost thirty, in fact), when confronted with the horrifying question “So–Do you play any musical instruments?” (A question only inferior in squeamish-making-ness to “So, I know I’ve been your best friend for fifteen years and you’re not gay or anything, but I really like you–I love you actually Fred…so would you like to go on a date with me and see what happens?”) I flinched, my face did a weird spasm and I spat, “No–No–I don’t–I can’t”. And (more…)
Where to begin with talking about Q.O.T.S.A.? What hasn’t been said about this band that’s worth saying?
Don’t shoot: I grew up listening to everyone but Q.O.T.S.A. I’m ashamed to admit that they were one of the few bands that I didn’t get around to listening to while everyone else was–people said they were awesome but I suppose I didn’t really think they could be that awesome; because of that I missed out on the conversations about how good Songs (more…)
Nobody knew what to make of The Pixies when they arrived on the music scene—one minute they weren’t there…and the next everything was turned on its head; with scarcely any parallels or similarities to be found with other bands past or present, the critics and fans were caught somewhere between wanting to like them and not knowing what to do with them if they did.
The Pixies were liked to some extent instantly, but faced an immediate and tough up-hill (more…)
I don’t really know why, but I absolutely love this video. This genre isn’t my speciality when it comes to music and I don’t have more than a couple of Dance CDs in my collection. Saying this, ‘Another Chance’ is such a damn catchy song that I find it hard to resist…
Dance videos can actually be very clever and I openly admit that I have sat watching them on dedicated channels in the past. Because the content of a (more…)

Have you ever noticed just how similar some singers are to others? There are quite a few people in the music scene who are uncannily similar to the artists of years gone by. But this is not necessarily a bad thing; in fact, it can work out rather well…
For example, if you are a fan of Joan Armatrading then there are frustratingly few of her studio albums to listen to. However, if you also enjoy the music of Tracy (more…)
I am a big fan of The Smashing Pumpkins and my favourite album of theirs is ‘Machina: The Machines of God’. It never ceases to amaze me how completely underrated this record is. Out of the seven (almost eight) albums that the Pumpkins have recorded I would cite this one as being their greatest work.
‘Machina’ is actually a concept album, although it is not as obviously a ‘story-record’ as is something like ‘Misplaced Childhood’, ‘The Wall’ or ‘Tommy’. The (more…)
