Living the Music

My plans for the summer are all mapped out, I have saved up enough money and I am off touring Europe to see all the best and biggest music festivals they have to offer. I decided to go and get a health check before I set off to make sure I was in fit shape and wasn’t going to end up in one of these dodgy foreign hospitals with no clue what they were saying. So I head off to my local doctor and as I sat there listening to him tell me everything was fine and I was in great shape for my age I thought about how boring a GP Job must be, hours of sitting in a little room listening to people moan about coughs and colds or sore throats. I was glad I was heading off for a summer of madness!

So I am kicking off the tour with Dublin’s Oxygen Festival starting in July 7th, hoping to catch some of the biggest bands like Foo Fighters, The Strokes and Coldplay three nights camping there will get me in the mood for my next stop, Benicassim Festival in Spain. Benicassim Festival in is happening along the Mediterranean beaches and lasts four days from July 14th to 17th. Old and new bands will be playing here like, Babyshambles, The Streets and My Bloody Valentine, and you can get free spirit camping here for nine days in fields under the Spanish Sun. Then after a couple of weeks rest with a few sangrias I will be jetting off to Budapest for the Sziget Festival starting on August 10th. This one looks like madness a week’s camping is included in the ticket price and there are tons of stages were bands like Dizzee Rascal and The Chemical Brothers will be living it large! If that isn’t enough I will be finishing my tour with Pukklepop Festival in Belgium where equally big names are being anticipated to play. After all that I will probably need a holiday!
